Ugandan Artistes Rally Behind Bobi Wine, But is it The Same Case In Kenya?

Many people had disregarded him when he announced his political ambitions a few months back but the sight that was at Wampewo grounds on Monday would drive you crazy if you were contesting with him. Bobi Wine since that day has been taken serious and his rivals went back to re-strategize on how they might win the Kyadondo East elections. The musician attracted thousands at his first rally, sending signals of what he’s made of and that signal was further ignited by different artistes who came along to support one of their own. Geosteady, Hilderman, Eddy Yawe, King Saha, Kalifah Aganaga, Spice Diana Victor Kamenyo and Chameleon among others were all present for this historical moment that even surprised Bobi as well. Some even went ahead and performed for the already excited fans which couldn’t have come any better. Back in 254, Musician Charles Njagua, popularly known as Jaguar was declared the Starehe MP flag bearer for the ruling Jubilee Party, it’s 59 days to the general election. The ‘Kigeugeu’ hit maker has kicked off his campaign to hunt votes for the parliamentary seat, in the past few weeks he has been spotted campaigning with Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko who is running for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat. Kenyan artistes have not come out openly to support Jaguar the way Bobi has been supported by his fellow Ugandan artistes, perhaps may be they don’t want to be involved into politics much? well make of that what you will.
